mac curly bracket keyboard not working

Hello, I have an English keyboard. I always use cmd + { for curly bracket, but suddenly it stop working. When I use the same input it shift to left (cmd + { ) and right (cmd + } ), like a tab. I look at my keyboard shortcut and can't find this input anywhere.

Can't you just use Shift plus [ and ] to get curly brackets { and }? That is normal for the US or British layout.


Are you talking about curly quotes “”‘’ instead of brackets? If so, you make those via the Option key. Apple does not normally use Cmd for extra characters, only option and option plus shift.
