I have tried to use the FN+ENTER keys together but this doesn't seem to work on my keyboard. Does anyone have an answer to this please as I do need this key for work purposes so it is hindering my work.

sure, I can try. So I work on a platform called citrix & DGL. I work for three consultants and run their clinic diaries for them. Sometimes I need to start their clinics earlier which means I need to insert additional time slots. So if their clinic is from 2pm to 8pm and they decide they would like to start at 12pm I can't just 'insert' time slots. My colleague has a pc and she uses the insert key on her keyboard.
Are talking about inserting new text into an existing document?
If so, what app are you using?
This sounds more like a software learning curve than a Mac issue.

Thanks Tom but I am no IT guru and it goes pretty deep. Couldn't figure it out.
I doubt it is a mac issue. I am using an online PMS system called Citrix.
sorry reported the incorrect most helpful answer which is this one.
I figured it out after much research I needed to toggle off numeric key pad and use SHIFT+0 on teh numeric keypad.
I am using Safari original from the Mac book air M2 replying here ... on this page .. and it ...
does not works :(
