Apple iMac 5k 27” display flickering issues (Late 2015) - Apple do not want to assist!!!

I have been experiencing continued display flickering issues with my iMac.

It has been in the Apple Birmingham store more than 3 times.

The store keep telling me to sell the iMac and buy a new one. They claim to have run vigorous graphics tests on the iMac for several days on end. But in their tests no hardware faults were flagged. Advised that nothing could be done even though I’ve shown them several videos of the screen ghosting/flickering issue occurring over a 6 month period. I was on the phone to senior Apple advisors today 24/01/2019 and they advised I need to write my complaint in writing and forward to Apple in Ireland.

Apple are unable to provide any further resolution to my screen flickering problems. The reason being that the Apple store could not find any hardware faults whilst carrying out the diagnostics. It’s clearly evident there is some manufacturing defect to the problem as hundreds of people are experiencing the same issue.

There attitude towards the problem and not willing to assist is shocking. They are clearly aware of issues and don’t wish to do anything about them. The last time I will be purchasing any Apple products.

You have CleanMyMac installed on your systems. At best it is worthless and has a very long history of causing a variety of problems. Locate the developers instructions to uninstall it and use them. If you are lucky it hAs not permanently damaged Mac OS which will require an erase and install.

Your issues are likely your your own doing and nothing Apple is responsible for.

We have removed all these apps and they don’t still fix the flickering iMac screen issue. This is definitely a deeper hardware issue which Apple are denying and don’t want to cover.

FWIW, I have no flickering with my Late 2015 27" 5K iMac

Guess, I have no alternative option but to commence legal proceedings. will be reporting this to Leigh Day, Product safety and consumer protection.

Since I live in the US I had to look up who Leigh Day was. At any rate, Apple is not here because this is a users for users forum.
