carplay Honda no device connected error message

had numerous carplay no device connected error messages, Honda Ridgeline 2017, I phone 7. 12.1.3. Tried starting truck first then plugging in phone, new cables, plugged in phone first, all inconsistent. What worked today, I turned off carplay via settings/general/carplay, then rebooted phone, then turned on carplay again and carplay worked perfectly.

iOS 15 CarPlay crashes in 2020 Chevy Bolt Just took delivery on my iPhone 13 mini running iOS 15.0.1. Drove our 2020 Bolt yesterday for first time since getting the phone. Connected to the vehicle using CarPlay (cabled) in order to use navigation to our destination. Was playing music, too. CarPlay would work for several minutes then the console screen would freeze and then reset. Reconnecting CarPlay would repeat that same behavior. Leaving CarPlay disconnected allowed the car’s native entertainment system to work fine. I’ve seen a few other perhaps-related posts with some suggestions (short of Reset ALL Settings). Atmos is set to “auto”; EQ is set “off”. I note that the settings reset possible solution has not worked for everyone, so I’m a bit reluctant to spend that time on a speculative fix. Edit: I should note that my wife’s XR, running 14.8, works Just Fine with CarPlay in this vehicle. What is the issue here and what is the solution?

carplay stuttering Ever since the 11.3 update I have had problems with CarPlay. It stutters during playback of Apple Music or podcasts and then gives me error of no connection. Sometimes it restarts. Ive troubleshooted everything. New cable, reset of iPhone 6s and latest updates, head unit reboots and resets, auto manufacturer head unit replacement and software updates (Honda) and everything else. There are tons of people online complaining about the same issue, no matter the car or iPhone model and although nothing acknowledged by Apple, has to be a software issue with CarPlay. I was ready to buy a new iPhone, but may not until this is fixed. Lets hear your problems and solutions if any and get any and get the bill rolling for Apple to acknowledge and address this.

Disregard post, the fix only worked for one day. Like all the other carplay fixes, they work one or two times, the device not connected error returns.
