Seagate external HD partition problem

I have a seagate 3T as an external backup to my MBP. It is a 3.5 drive, the connection block went bad. I have replaced it and now see the HD as an external input, but will not boot up. Partition error appears with the error code 69874. Any help?

Boot into recovery, open Disk utility there and try to repair your Seagate from there. If that fails, you can try to buy something like DiskWarrior which is a more robust repair program. However, before you do any of that, you may want to run the Apple hardware test on it (actually not sure if that works on an external or not, but trying it won't hurt). In any case, if none of that works, I can only guess that your Seagate has gone onto Seagate heaven.
