Apple watch series 4 - no distance recorded on nike run club app on treadmill

Hi,

I run regularly in the gym on a treadmill and its frustrating that nike run club doesnt record any distance when i run.

Yes, i have it switched to "indoor", and yes in privacy i have allowed access for nike run club to my location, and also allowed it read/write access within my health app. Once i have started the workout a warning comes up on my watch to say that no distance has been recorded and to check the settings, but everything is switched on so i dont know what the problem is.

It does pick up my heartrate data.
