Hello people ive recently bought a 128 gb memory flash drive to use on my 2010 macbook air 11”..whilst playing movies from the drive via quicktime player ive noticed the plastic casing on the sandisk is getting hot ,and i mean very hot..is that normal just needed some feedback and thanks

All my Sandisk usb flash storage sticks get hot after a couple of seconds plugged into the PCs. The good news is that they work normally.
Yea playing movie for over an hour is causing it to get hot,i get you,but sureley thats what the stick was meant to do 🤷🏼♂️
I should hope they work fine for £20 a pop..just the extreme heat concerned me..🤷🏼♂️
I have four sands extremes flash drives and all get very hot. I don't use any of them for any length of time though. Maybe you should switch the movies to an external hard drive.
