Can't download the software because of a network problem

Solved, woohoo! Downloaded homebrew.

Here are the steps

First, updated the OS, then:

1. uninstalled current version of xcode
2. installed xcode 10.2 beta
3. installed command lines tool for 10.14 macOS https://developer.apple.com/download/more/
4. ran home brew installation from terminal again.

It comes down to looking for the versions of xcode and os command line tools that exist from the link above and then matching the xcode version the OS version on your machine.

Ugh- I have Cellar, man1, site-functions, etc and Homebrew folders all with 0 items. Don't have .../doc/homebrew, .../man1/brew.1etc.

Looks like it creates the folder structure but can't download the actual files...Thanks for responding on this so far!

Thanks but did not help. This seems like a OS issue. I still get the same can't download the software because of a network problem. I'll post on the home brew community as well.

Same issue even after updating the OS to Mojave. It gives me the same error even when I try xcode-select --install.

Any other tips for perhaps a manual install?

gah! It’s not just 10.13 it’s also mojave 10.14 which I upgraded to and tried again on.

Nope no other clues that I am noticing. Manual install of homebrew is also ruled out.

I installed Xcode from the App Store. Could there be a some command line tool package required for Mojave? That’s the only resolution I’m finding. Any clue how to escalate this over to Apple?
