SCROLLBAR disappearing in home sharing playlists, iTunes

home sharing works well between my PC and this mac, with both libraries interconnected and available. But as soon as I click into a shared playlist, the RHS scrollbar disappears, leaving about 8 songs visible on the screen, and no way to get further down the playlist. Haven't found any answers to this on support website or googled discussions, but clearly others have the problem. Any ideas? I'm using WIN10 on a desktop and High Sierra 10.13.2 on this mac laptop; iTunes version 12.8.2.3

Any ideas? It's not a re-size or mini/maximise issue - with iTunes at about 3/4 size I can watch the scrollbar simply disappear as I click on a playlist....

Thx for looking at this

Aha. Found a bit of a workaround by trying every command on the screen once. It works like this - select a shared library; click on a playlist; scrollbar disappears; select the View menu, option 'view as'; playlist will be selected - now select songs instead, and the playlist shrinks down to a miniature font but the scrollbar reappears.

Is this some sort of adaptability test? Or just a check on how much time the average home sharing user has to spare? Why isn't the scrollbar just there in the first place? Who QAs the code when Apple issue updates? Is there any point in asking?
