Apple watch 4 alluminum vs stainless steel

I am confused on what apple watch ti get for my 17yo daughter. I want to purchase the alluminum one because she do not need the stainless steel BUT i want a durable watch BUT the stainles steel is too flashy and it's much costly.

The aluminum case is pretty durable. Mine has survived unmarked after 18 months daily wear, working as a service engineer so it doesn’t spend all its time at a desk. The most likely damage on any Apple Watch is a broken display, and the risk is the same for all case versions so I recommend adding the standard AppleCare+ with 2 incidents accidental damage cover.
