Voice over on at startup with 10.14.2

I read the post "Voice over on at startup after 10.14.1 install"

I have the same issue. The post was made October 31, 2018.

A workaround had been used and worked for the reporter of the bug.

I am still experiencing this issue and want to ensure that it has been reported as a bug.

I am in Software QA and frequently have to test Voice Over. It is rather annoying to continue to encounter the restart issue and perform the workaround, which is a shotgun blast in the dark (must click off and on a list of features), each time I must use VO in testing.

List of items to enable/disable:

  • Accessibility > VoiceOver > Enable VoiceOver
  • Users & Groups > Current User. Click on the lock and enter your user password, then select Accessibility Options and confirm that VoiceOver is not selected
  • Accessibility > Zoom > Speak iTunes under the pointer
  • Accessibility > Speech > Enable announcements
  • Accessibility > Speech > Speak selected text when the key is pressed
  • Date & Time > Clock > Announce the time

Please ensure this is reported as a bug and is slated for fixing. I understand you guys are rather busy and it may take time to fix. I just want to be sure it's somewhere in your backlog.

Many thanks,

Mary

FWIW, Apple is not here. This is a users forum. You can send Apple feedback here: Feedback - macOS - Apple
