Refund for an app denied

I just recently found out about a DJ app named Djay Pro 2, which is available on the app store. On the Macbook apple store they offer a free trial for 7 days however after installing the application I discovered that I paid the full $70 for the application which I have no intention in pursuing after a few hours of experimenting. I requested for a refund and I was declined, this is completely unfair. Note that the application does not work best without additional equipment which I need to purchase online.

**Update to my initial reply**:

I stumbled across the Apple Support app in the App Store and that helped me obtain the refund that was initially denied to me and I was so happy I gave it the following 5 ★★★★★review in the App Store:

“Support App succeeded in helping me to obtain refund from Apple thanks to a call back from a very helpful Apple Customer Service agent, when the online Request A Refund submission denied my initial refund request.

I paid for an app hosted in the App Store which would not allow me to use its Paid for features and kept kicking me back to its Free version which formed the basis for my refund request in the first instance. Unfortunately, the only way to determine that the Paid for version of the app purchased was to actually attempt to use the app as the developer intended it to be used and this presumably goes against Apple’s Conditions for Refund, which meant Apple turned down my Refund request.

I contacted the Paid for app developer - the very reputable EA [games developers/manufacturers] - to report the problem and they thanked me for my report submission and told me that they would not respond to my bug report.

So Apple refused my refund request and EA weren’t any great help at all, so how could I obtain refund of the £5.99GBP paid for the Scrabble app purchased in the App Store??

I stumble across this EXCELLENT Apple Support app which I installed, entered the issue I was having into it and within seconds I was given an Apple case ID number and a callback from the aforementioned Customer Service agent who, after a few minutes chat outlining the issue was able to confirm that I would in fact be given the £5.99GBP Refund that had been denied to me by Apple using its own online Refund Request procedure. #HappyDays!

So, IMHO this Support app has been IMMENSELY USEFUL and I am so happy that it succeeded where other Apple procedures failed me. 👏😉👏😉👏😉”

The Apple Support app helped me without any great deal of effort whatsoever and greatly minimised (even totally eradicated) the frustration I was initially experiencing with Apple’s own online procedure, so I would have absolutely no hesitation in suggesting that it could possibly help the OP too..... 🤞🤞🤞

HTH 😉👍

I recently paid £5.99 for the Paid for version of EA’s Scrabble and I can only use the free component of the Paid for app, which I only found out about when I tried to log in using my Facebook ID log in details.

I had to access this component to determine whether or not I could use the Paid for features, which I cannot, so therefore surely I should be entitled to a full refund?

I’ve reported the issue to EA as a bug, hoping they would be able to help me recover my purchase costs for an app that does not function as it should do using EA’s Report A Problem online form and EA thanked me for reporting the issue but said it would not respond to my report - see attached screengrab - so that means Apple won’t refund me and EA are as much use as a chocolate teapot in the Sahara Desert, so JUST HOW DO I RECOVER MY £5.99 for an app hosted in the App Store that DOES NOT FUNCTION AS IT IS SUPPOSED TO FUNCTION?!
