Correcting/Changing Permissions

When trying to move or delete a folder get the following error message

"The operation can’t be completed because you don’t have permission to access some of the items."

Since I'm the only user of the computer, how does one change permissions?

Where did you create them?

If inside your Home folder, then you do have a problem.

If somewhere else, you may or may not have a problem.

You don't. Anything protected in that way should not be deleted. Users are only able to delete items located in their user account.

Before we can help, if indeed we can, you would have to let us know what you are trying to delete and where it is located. Why do want to delete the items in question?
