verified payment info, error still appear on apple tv
Trying to download a free app for Apple TV. Get an error that says I must update payment info for iTunes store. I have updated payment info. Error still occurs.
Also try updating/checking the Apple ID and payment information on a different device (computer with iTunes, or iPhone, or iPad). Other devices may be more flexible in giving feedback about the nature of the issue at hand.
Also try logging out and back in again for the account for iTunes and App Store on Apple TV.
If the error persists, contact Apple iTunes Support, so they can look at any issues with your account in their administration.
Using the App Store means needing to have valid payment information on your Apple ID (or even ‘None’).
Using the App Store means needing to have valid address information on your Apple ID, most notably a matching country, as each country has its own Store, and one shouldn’t shop in other regions.
Using the App Store means not having any unpaid bills with Apple/iTunes. E.g. a previously blocked card or billing dispute could cause that.
