No episodes exist in your feed Error

I keep getting this error when trying to upload/validate my podcast from Anchor.

I have checked the picture dimensions and used their default picture options.

Heres the rss: https://anchor.fm/s/8da7228/podcast/rss

Link to the podcast itself: https://anchor.fm/penpalsandpillowcases

I've been trying all night. I initially started an upload, got a msg that it was going to be checked, but then I had to delete that and attempt a reupload because I forgot to add something in the episode.

On attempting to re-upload I keep getting this error.

Any ideas?

I can't recommend specific ones - I've not used any of the methods now available: my own podcast was made some years back using an application which is no longer available.

There are several free online blogging/podcasting sites which will enable you to create a podcast feed: there are also a few paid-for ones. These tend to be better and give your more control over the feed; the free ones generally don't let you get at the feed directly and may limit what you can do (and moving away from them should you want to).

You may find my 'get you started' page on podcasting helpful (though again no direct recommendations but there are a number of links):

Although there is an episode on the website, there is no episode in the feed at all. I've no way of finding out what the type of media the episode is - it may be one that iTunes won't accept, or you may not have done something which is necessary to get the episode into the feed. Acceptable formats are .mp3, .m4a, .m4v, .mov or .mp4 file (not Windows Media, RealMedia, Flash or YouTube).

In any case I would advise you not to use Anchor. They will submit your podcast under their own ID, not yours, with the consequence that you have no access to Podcasts Connect to check stats or move to another feed if required. Find a hosting service which allows you to keep control of the feed - i.e. it generates the feed but you submit it yourself.
