How do I lengthen the display time of slideshow in Mojave's Photos
Is there a way to have each photo display longer in Photos' slideshow?
iMac 27", 10.14
The timing option is allowed if I create a slideshow under Projects instead of under Albums.

Go to the Timing pane in the slideshow edit window and try these:
If you mean selecting an album and using the File ➙ Play Slideshow menu option that's correct. That is a quick slideshow with minimal options, music and theme only.
