Health App counting wrong steps

I have a series 3 watch and iphoneX. The steps counted on my watch are exactly the same as the activity app shows. However, the health app shows more steps than I have made. It’s registering steps during the night when the phone is charging on the bedside table. I wear the watch when I am sleeping to monitor my sleep but I don’t think this is causing the inaccurate step count. It seems to register exactly the same amount of steps every hour during the night, in the picture below it registers 175 steps every hour I was asleep. Any ideas how I can correct this please ?

Well that didnt work. I thought it had worked but at around about 1300 hours today something updated my sleeping hours with phantom steps again, this time 328 steps per hour from midnight to 0500 then from 0500 to 312 steps. I have attached some pictures showing the data today and other things. The first picture below shows the sources. My first question is should health mate be a data source??

The next picture shows my actual recorded date from the health app. Its shows the identical steps per hour from midnight to 0500 am

My actual steps today have been ......

My recorded data shows I didn't start recording steps till 0524 am so I am confused as to why this is showing steps when I am sleeping

Just a point to note I was checking the health app data most of the morning and these phantom steps suddenly appeared around about 1:00 pm. This makes me think there is some kind of glitch

any ideas??

Thanks for the info. I checked this and there was an App called "shipping Forecast" that appears to have linked itself to the health app. Shipping forecast is a marine weather forecast site for shipping personnel and, from what I can see, has nothing to do with health. I have stopped this from linking to the health app now and will see if the problem goes away
