Movies not available on the Singapore Itunes Store

I've recently started to build my digital movie collection with Itunes, but it has been frustrating to find that some of my favourite movies are currently not available on the Singapore store. Movies such as Mad Max Fury Road, Dredd, Drive, The Fifth Element and Take Shelter are no where to be found on the Singapore store. All of which incidentally are available on the Singapore Google play store.

I realise that this may be down to the individual studios, but I have contacted each of them directly and they all responded that availability of these movies on the Singapore iTunes store is controlled by Apple and I should contact them. I contacted Apple support and they just indicated that fill out the standard iTunes request form, but no real answer as to why such high profile movies aren't available on the Singapore store.
