Hello mvronta,

Hope this helps.

Where is your Photos Library stored? Is it on an external drive? Photos 4.0 on Mojave cannot open a library on a volume that has been used by Time Machine. And Mojave has also problems with drives that are having a case sensitive file format.
I tried this as you can see from the screenshot in my question. It only got to 5% then forces me to quit.
Thx. Photo library is on my main hard drive. I have a 3TB drive on my iMac. I backup my hard drive using time machine to an external drive.
