I get this response when I try to access my pc from my mac on the the network. After trying a number of options, I am not sure what the message is asking for. Unable to access. I am, however, able to connect to my mac from the pc with access to all files etc. I have checked all sharing options on mac and pc. Where can I find out what the message is specifically asking for?

Did you configure your PC for file sharing? If so, then you had the option to set it up so that only certain users can access it over the network. It's this "name and password" that you are being prompted for.
