Transfer apps from iPhone to MacBook Pro

We just bought new MacBook Pro's. We are fairly new to the Apple world - have had iPhones for a little over a year. How do we get our apps on our phones onto our laptops?

You don't.

iPhone Apps do not run on Macs, different platforms, nor can they be transferred to a Mac for storage anymore either.

While in the past with older versions of iTunes you could download and store iPhone Apps on a Mac, this is no longer possible with newer versions of iTunes.
