usb-c charger cable yellowing

My usb-c charger cable of my Macbook Pro is yellowing on both ends.

Does this warrant concern or is just cosmetic?

Macbook Air charging cord turning yellow. This is the second macbook air charging cord that has begun to turn yellow after a few years. In both situations the cord came with the computer; not second hand purchases or a replacement. My battery was just replaced and I'm wondering if the cord needs to be replaced also. Is this a cosmetic issue or something that affecting my computer or battery life. As I just replaced the battery I don't want the cord to cause issues. I see multiple conversations online with pictures of yellow cords that look just like mine so I know it's not an issue with my computers.

Macbook Air going dead after charging with generic USB-C cable I messed up my USB-C cable to my 2020 MacBook Air. I bought an Apple one from Best Buy, but it was too short. So, I found a generic one on Amazon. Now, last night I left the MacBook with a 77% charge. I open it today and it's dead. This is the second day in a row this has happened. Could the dead battery be from using a generic USB-C charger? I bought an official one from Apple just in case. Anyone else have this issue?
