How do you set find my friends to track your Mac istead of iPhone

I want to be able to have my friends see my Mac location instead of my iPhone location, but I'm unsure how to change it.

MacBook location services I am trying to switch my find my friends device location from an iphone to my mac. I am singed in on icloud and the find my feature is on for my mac, yet FindMyFriends does not register any other devices to share my location from. How can i fix this?

How to use location of my laptop on find my friends instead of my iPhone I have done just about everything and when I click on the me portion on find my friends and go to share my location from: my MacBook doesn't appear to be an option. My find my MacBook is turned on, so is find my iPhone. My location services are turned on both devices. Both devices use the same iCloud account, so I don't know why it wouldn't be showing up. I would like my find my friends to use the location of my MacBook instead of my phone. Any suggestions?

Select which device to share the location of using Find My Friends on iCloud.
