How to use location of my laptop on find my friends instead of my iPhone

I have done just about everything and when I click on the me portion on find my friends and go to share my location from: my MacBook doesn't appear to be an option. My find my MacBook is turned on, so is find my iPhone. My location services are turned on both devices. Both devices use the same iCloud account, so I don't know why it wouldn't be showing up. I would like my find my friends to use the location of my MacBook instead of my phone. Any suggestions?
