MacBook location

Are you able to share your location in Find My Friends from a MacBook? As in, can a MacBook be selected as the device you choose to to use to share your location in Find My Friends? If not, what are eligible devices?

You can only enable Find My Friends on an iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, or Apple Watch. However, via iCloud, you can access Find My Friends from a Mac or PC ... but you can't enable it on those devices. That is, your friends will not find your MacBook in this situation, but you can find them if they have an iOS or watchOS device.
