how do I connect my camcorder to my iMac Pro

With legacy videos going away I want to transfer DV tapes to FCP, the Sony camera has a iLink but I only have Thunderbolt 3 and USB 3 connections is there a adapter available?

You could use a Thunderbolt-3 adapter

Thunderbolt 3 (USB-C) to Thunderbolt 2 Adapter - Apple

followed by a FireWire adapter

Apple Thunderbolt to FireWire Adapter - Apple

and a 9-pin to 4-pin FireWire cable.
