Bootcamp only installs Windows 7

Hi,

I'm trying to install Windows 10 on Bootcamp on my Macbook Pro. I have the ISO file and everything ready but I am having many issues with Bootcamp.

I can not seem to add Windows 10. Here's what I see:

I don't want to install Windows 7, I want to install Windows 10! I have upgraded to Sierra (My computer is not compatible to run Mojave) but other people say Windows 10 can be used on Sierra. However mine isn't working.

Apple's website also clearly states "In macOS High Sierra and earlier, you can install Windows 10, Windows 8.1, and Windows 7 using Boot Camp Assistant on supported Mac models. "

What should I do?

Maybe you missed the last phrase in your quote "...on supported Mac models." You did not tell us what model/year your computer is. If it is an older model you may have to install Windows 7 or 8 then withing Windows upgrade to Windows 10. If it is a newer model you can install Windows 10 directly using Boot Camp Assistant.

Hello yes unfortunately my Mac is an older model which is a bit annoying. I just noticed that after the post I made. It's a 2010 13" Macbook pro, So Windows 10 is not compatible with my machine. I need to find a working product version of Windows 7, which is going to be really hard as it's since been long discontinued. I just might get Parallels instead if Boot Camp is going to end up being useless.

You can install W8.1, without activating it, and then run an in-place upgrade to W10.
