Facebook Messenger voice messaging glitch on my iPhone 8 plus. Anyone else?

I love Facebook Messenger, especially the voice comment feature.

But for some reason, it randomly glitches and holds the record function open after releasing the button.

I've tried restarting the app, uninstalling and reinstalling it, rebooting my phone, and even doing a phone reset to no avail.

I'd love to know if there's a setting, work around, or some kind of fix for this.

Also, when it starts glitching, Siri starts malfunctioning as well.
