iphone x is not ringing, alerting and noise switch on the side is ON...help?!

Recently in the last few days my iphone x is not ringing, alerting and noise switch on the side is ON...help?! Thanks!

First make sure the volume is up high enough. That's the button just below the mute switch on the left.

Then check to see if Do not Disturb is enabled (Settings/Do not Disturb).

Check to see if there is a bluetooth headset that was left connected.

Do you have an Apple Watch? If you do then your phone will not alert, instead the watch will generate all alerts.
