Add Person back in People album in Photos

Add Person back in People album in Photos

I accidentally deleted someone in the People album on my iPhone. Now even though that person's photos show up in my albums, the person is not recognised by the phone and it does not give me an option to add that person back.

My photos are also backed up to my mac. Here the person is still there in my People album. Its only the iPhone that I am having a problem with.

Find a photo of the missing person and swipe up to see the recognized faces below the photo in the People section.
Tap the face under People to open the hidden album of this person.
To the right of the title of the hidden album should be three dots. Click them.
If you can see "Add to People Album" tap this.

That should usually add a hidden People album back.

Hi. Thanks for your reply. I already tried this but the phone has stopped recognising that person and she does not show up when i swipe up on any of the photos that includes her - whether single or in a group. Its as if the phone has blacked out this person from recognition.
