How to stop text message from sending, not just imessage

Hello, I recently accidentally told my work group chat that I'd be taking a personal day because my son didn't have a babysitter. However in reality I just wanted to hangout with my friends at the bar all day. So I accidentally sent my current location in our group chat, but I have it on airplane mode right now. I haven't got a not delivered yet and its been about 20 minutes. Now some people in this group chat do have a non iphone.
