Before the last big MacOS update (to Mojave?) I was able to pin multiple tabs in Finder, which would be open every time I restarted my computer or reopened Finder. This would save me from having to re-open the same new tabs every time (e.g. there would already be a tab for 'Documents', for 'Downloads' or for 'Desktop').
Is there a way to recreate this on the newest update? Thank you in advance!

Just to add, as long as you don't close the Finder window the same tabs should remain open. The difference apparently is, in the High Sierra, tabs would reopen even after closing the Finder window then creating a new window. To me, the past behavior was a bug.
By default any windows and tabs you had open should reopen when you restart or log back in.
I am not at my mac to confirm the details but you should look into System Preferences->General and make sure that “Ask to keep changes” or something is unchecked.
