Verify my account

Hi there.. I have been emailing Apple about an email that got sent to me (apparently from Apple) to verify my account which required me to follow a link and enter personal details. We concluded that the email may have been a scam and I have been advised by one of your team to message the support team to make sure my account, device and details are safe and secure. Could you please help me? Thank you.
