Screen rubber is melting

I noticed that the black rubber that goes around the screen was melting with no reasons. The rubber is very fragile now, if you touch it with finger, it's sticky and easily damaged. It is happening with my 2016 Macbook 12", and I have perceived it less 2 years of using it. I called apple support but there is no free rubber change for this issue. What can I do? Should I sue apple? Too expensive for a bad quality product.

That is unfortunate. Perhaps another participant in these community

discussions may have other ideas. ~ Also if you have more than one

option (to assume few/no? official Apple Stores in Brazil) for service

this may factor into consumer helpfulness in retail side, there.

Regional differences and independent service tech support allow for

variable results, when dealing with what may be local policy for them.

As an end-user and not representative of Apple, I feel for your situation.

You may have to take the unit into whatever 'official' or factory-trained

service exists in your country and (if you have not already) ask what they

could do for you. Especially if you bought the unit from them originally.

Repeat business, or lack of same, could sway the store management.

Always be courteous and kind, even if you don't hear what you'd like.
