iTunes App update broken; hangs and errors downloading update 8288

Since yesterday when downloading updates to my apps via iTunes, I am getting error 8288 on all updates.

I am using the itunes from here: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT208079

Has there been a change to the store ?

Ps: I already tried to remove the Download directory (under iTunes Media) but same result.

Also removing an App and adding it via Purchased Page results in the same error.

Thx in advance for any pointers, but I guess I finally have to make the switch to the newest iTunes version :(

You're not alone in seeing this issue with iTunes 12.6.5.3, but it isn't affecting everyone so perhaps things aren't so clear cut. While Apple removed app management from iTunes in iTunes 12.7 I've yet to see anything that officially indicates that the version supplied from Deploy apps in a business environment with iTunes - Apple Support has been deprecated. It is working for me under High Sierra. Do you have any third party security apps?

Hello and welcome to Apple Support Communities, mjcm_nl!

I understand you're not able to update apps via iTunes and are receiving error messages no matter what you try. I'd be happy to clarify what is happening to cause this.

The App Store is no longer available via iTunes, therefore, updating has also been disabled.

I hope this clarifies things.

Have a great day!
