Unable to take pictures in facetime

I am having a problem now since the upgrade to 12.1.4 to be able to take pictures in facetime. I was able to approximately 3 weeks ago, but updated my OS today and when I take the picture in facetime (press the silver button) it say that both facetime phone need to be able to do this in settings. We both have Xr iphones with updates and can no take the pictures. I went to facetime settings and did what was found online to fix problem....but both our phones where already set to accept pictures.

I don't know if there are any other setting....but would appreciate if anyone could help.
