How do I use my laptop to call my iPhone if I can't find it? I

I wanted to use my Old laptop to see if I could call my iPhone 8+ In case I lose it. How do you do that?

It would be a lot more convenient to simply use Find My iPhone: Find My iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Apple Watch - Apple Support but if you prefer to use your Mac to place a call to the iPhone, please read Use Continuity to connect your Mac, iPhone, iPad, iPod touch ...


You can use your Mac to place calls even if your iPhone is not nearby: Make a call with Wi-Fi calling but you would be using your iPhone to call that same iPhone. It wouldn't ring; it would just go to voicemail.
