iPhone XS Max water went in without triggering the water indicators

I've bought a iPhone XS Max, used it in the rain for a mere few seconds. Went indoors, the device shut down, took it to an apple authorised recommended service centre and water was found inside, indicators are still intact and did not change color. Is it covered in the warranty?

Iphone 11 suffered from water Hello, the iPhone 11 I used to use (IP68) shall be water resistant. Unfortunately it has been in contact with water (20-30 sec). I've sent it to the local iSpot (Apple authorized Service) and received a message where it was stated that I must pay the fee to repair (this iPhone is 7 months old only). What are your experiences in such a matter of a case when an iPhone had a contact with water? My best, Marek
