You can swap an active SIM card from phone to phone. That’s not an issue. But, once the eSIM is activated with my number, my SIM card will be deactivated from my number, right?

Thanks but the article doesn't specify if I erase my eSIM, I can go back to using my original physical SIM. Will I need a new (blank) sim card or my old SIM will continue to work for the same line from the eSIM?
That’s what I thought. Usually, a deactivated SIM card will never be able to reactivated again. This means I have to get new SIM card every time I try to do this. I will call AT&T and confirm and post it here.
With many carriers, you’d just reactive that device with that SIM in your account online, or call them from another phone and get it reprovisioned over the air. But, different carriers have different options. I use AT&T and I know people with multiple SIMs for one device. They swap them all the time, and their account simple shifts the device between SIMs they’ve been issued without any problems.
But it can be reactivated over the air by the carrier - I have done that myself (over the air reactivating of a previously used SIM).
Yes, that is the whole point of dual SIM - https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT209044
An eSIM can be erased and reset as needed.
You would probably have to contact your carrier in order to have the new (physical SIM0 provisioned and activated). Your old SIM was deactivated once the eSIM was activated by the carrier.
Yes. You cannot have the same number on 2 sims.
