Backup / Archive OS X Notes App (full archive, not individual notes)

Requesting feature to archive/backup ENTIRE Notes app docs (similar to being able to export an archive from Contacts or Calendar app).

I know you can export individual notes and PDFs etc...I recently had a nightmare where a few notes got deleted, including the text inside them so even if I can recover from recently deleted, the text was gone (due to a stuck DELETE key). I know others want this feature for general backup purposes too.

Is there a way without using iTunes/iPhone Backup/iCloud to simply export simple text versions of notes?

If not I think I'm going back to Google Docs and Evernote to take down shorthand notes, but I wish I could use Apple app as I love the GUI and simplicity.

Thanks
