Group messages changed to outgoing??

I’ve been in a group chat with a few people (one of which is an Android user) for months. Magically, I stopped receiving my messages for this specific chat in the middle of the day two days ago. I am on the newest iOS update which I performed last week. I have reset the network, the phone, messages themselves, deleted things, etc. I’ve called Apple support and AT&T and tried all those trouble shooting steps as well. Now I notice at the top of my messages, under all the names, it says “outgoing.” Why is that? How do I fix this?

Welcome to Apple Support Communities! I understand your group text message shows "Outgoing" at the top. I'm happy to help you in any way possible. Let's sign out of Messages by navigating to Settings > Messages > Send & Receive > Apple ID.

Next, restart the iPhone and sign back into Messages again. Delete the old group text message thread and then create a new one to test the issue again.


If the issue persists, restore your iPhone to factory settings: Restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod to factory settings
