Cannot delete the app on my iPad. Keeps trying to update but then says this device is not supported. Through another technical source it said to make sure you had selected the iPad version. That is now downloaded but the “other” app still appears in my updates in the App Store. When you try an “update all” it stops the process and every app following this icon has to be down manually.

I understand you're running into an issue deleting an app on your iPad, and I can help.
It sounds like there may be two versions of the same app involved. Try tapping Settings > General > iPhone Storage, and look through this list. Do you see the unwanted version of the app here? If so, try tapping the listing from there and see if you can delete it: How to delete apps on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch
Once you're able to delete the app, you may want to "hide" the other version of the app to keep it from popping up in your list: Hide App Store purchases

Thanks for the follow-up. It is possible that a developer might have a different app for iPad versus iPhone. Just to confirm, were you able to successfully delete the app using the steps in the post above? If not, give the steps in those links a try to see if you can delete it and then hide the purchase.

Appears there are two versions with the same icon. Only one works on iPad. Very unusual in my experience. Thanks.
