Can the smoke of a house fire damage a mac book pro (2015) over time.

Hello,

So first and foremost, this is NOT an Apple Warranty Issue.

However, it is an insurance issue and I need to get some answer. There was a house fire and my mother's Mac Book Pro 2015 was exposed to smoke. At the moment the laptop is fine. However, I need to know if it is possible for smoke to damage the circuits in such a way that the laptop stops working (months) down the line.

Best,

Marc

If the Mac was not running to pull in soot—I hardly see where this would be a issue down stream.

I would not worry about it in the least, if there was no surface damage.
