Facebook live streaming from apple devices

Why is the quality of Facebook live streaming from an iphone so different than that from a Macbook air?

On the iphone is excellent, both audio and video. On MacBook Air, sound terrible, video shaky.

Specially when you add another audio source like music or a Youtube video.

The screen with on an iphone is of course very small, that is why I am trying to video stream from the Mac.
