CarPlay Issues on iOS 12.1.4 (XS MAX)

hi, i have the same problem with my 2017 golf 7.5 the best thing you can do is to downgrade to 12.1.3 before they stop signing it.

I've seen this on my XS with a 2017 Honda Civic. Rebooting my phone will bring back CarPlay for a while, but within two or three uses it stops working again.

I recently purchased a 2019 Honda HRV - love this car! However, upon the update to 12.1.4 my Apple phone - Apple CarPlay no longer works. I have the appropriate power cord (Apple Brand) and even took the car to the dealership for assistance. No one there could determine the issue or assist with reconnecting. Does anyone know how to solve this issue?

I was between a Toyota and the Honda and chose the Honda because of the Apple CarPlay feature!

I just bought a 2018 Mazda CX-5 and had the car play installed worked great until the most recent update of 12.1.4 and now it connects and then when I make or receive a call it connects for a minute or so but then it acts as though the call drops even though the caller can still hear me but I can’t hear them. I ya e to unplug my phone and let it revert back to Bluetooth with the Mazda system. For the extra money I paid for car play I now wish I hadn’t! Thinking it must be a software problem.

I’m also having a similar issue with my XS Max in a 2018 Subaru Outback. Was working fine for months. Now all of a sudden when I place or receive a call, there no sound transmission or reception (I can’t hear them, nor can they hear me). But it dials out, I get a dial tone. It’s weird. And annoying.

Same here. Mazda 6 Carplay worked fine (despite Spotify never really working great here) but since iOS 12.2 calls are dropping around 1 minute speak time, google maps cause a system freeze and Spotify... Well, never really works. I work in IT, I ran all troubleshooting steps, nothing helps.

Thinking hard on switching the plattform back to Windows and leaving the iPhone after 11 years and getting an android because the non premium OS DOES WORK JUST FINE with android auto, I've tried it with a random Android phone.

To be clear - this is with 12.1.4. I didn't really have problems before updating to this version.

Greetings from Spain. I have a SEAT Ibiza and carplay has bben working fine until I installed iOS 12.1.4. I expect aaple to fix this issue asap.

you just have to downgrade to 12.1.3 while it's still possible i have the same issue but after downgrading no problem at all
