Date not appearing on lock screen

Recently the date no more appears on my lock screen. I don't know if this started happening after the latest update.

Instead the lock screen displays the charging status even when the phone is not charging.

I tried a hard reset but I got the date only on the start screen (that is when you have to enter the pass code after a restart) and when I locked the phone, the date would not appear on the lock screen.

Is this normal or is this a big from the latest update?
