my lock screen doesnt show the date

whenever I turn on my phone the day should be shown under the time, and if you charge your phone it would say charging or charged. My phone is stuck saying my battery percent and charged when I'm not charging the phone. But when I am charging my phone it is back to normal and the charged fades away and shows the day.
