iMac Late 2012 fuse issue?

Suddenly out of nowhere my Late 2012 iMac randomly shuts off and I’m unable to turn it back on again...

But when I open the plug and take the fuse out and put the same fuse back in, it seems worked for a bit but then goes dead again. Repeated the same over and over and it works, and then it doesn’t.

The plug doesn’t ever move so it’s not like the fuse is being knocked out of place, and it also doesn’t seem to be blown either b/c everything works again on I take it out and put it back.

Does anyone have any idea what the problem could be? Is it the fuse? Is it the plug or something wrong with the machine itself? Not sure why this would happen out of the blue.

I’ve not changed anything!

It's not the fuse it's the fact that you're disconnecting it from the power supply. That's a sign of a bad power supply. It happened to my wife's iMac. It took 3 visits to the Genius Bar and several phone sessions with Apple Support to get them to realize it was the power supply and not a software issue.

Since it's out of warranty you can take it to an Apple Genius Bare or an Authorized Apple Service Provider and have them do a check and replace the power supply.

The next time it turns off just unplug the power cord and then plug back in and try a reboot. You don't need to fuss with the fuse.
