Final Cut Pro 10.4.5 not working with new Mojave Update 10.14.3

I was having this problem too and it was driving me nuts. I reinstalled the operating system reinstalled final cut went back to the older version and 10.3 was working well but wouldn’t open my newest project I did find a workaround it looks like they fixed this issue and 10.14.4 so I joined the beta program and now it fixed Final Cut 10.4.5 with 3rd party plug ins and freezing. Hope this helps

Rather than wait for an update to solve an issue that is not widespread, try the usual things first. Delete preferences, run from an admin user as Tom said.

If it still happens then run the diagnostic tool Etrecheck and post its report here.

It if iwere “popular” bug there would have been an outcry. So far I have only seen two people with the problem- and it is not at all clear it is the same problem or same cause in both cases.

Create a new admin user and try it to run the application.

There’s probably something in your system that’s doing this, probably a third party function. If the application is crashing you should reset prefs every time. There may be something in the media or the drives that’s causing the crashing, especially if it freezes or stalls and has to be force quit. I’m assuming it’s only the application and not the system.

It is impossible to tell without any information...

I am having the same issue was well, what should I uninstall to help narrow down the issue?

I have the same problem, I have re-booted in every fashion and all I get is the rolling beach ball - the application never loads :(
