Switching between Polish and English language spellchecker in Pages and Mail on iMac.

I would like to switch between two languages I frequently use English and Polish. There is a very helpful way of switching between the English and Polish input on my iPhone and iPad, and it includes an excellent spellchecker and predictive text in Polish, which I really like, so how can I do the same on iMac? The iMac spellchecker is odd, it has some words in Polish but is really very limited and annoying when switched to Polish it doesn't recognise about 50% of words.

I wonder why there is such a limited Polish vocabulary on the spellchecker as if only half the words are in use.

To ask apple to improve the Polish spellchecker, you can use

http://www.apple.com/feedback

Regarding the ą, this character is not on the popup menu of the US keyboard, but you will find it there on the Polish keyboard, which you can activate in system preferences/keyboard/input sources. Of course the Polish keyboard has a separate key for it as well.

To ask Apple to add that character to the US keyboard, you can use the same feedback link given above.

I wonder why there is such a limited Polish vocabulary on the spellchecker as if only half the words are in use. On my i Phone the spelling is superb and even predictive text really helpful, so why is the language so limited on the iMac? When you press a letter on the keyboard you can see all the other characters it represents like e èęê etc. However that is only true of some of them so it does not five me the equivalent of a with squiggly bit below yet it has that character if you copy some Polish text from elsewhere. Yet it does show an awful number of different a, e.g. äáåāa but I am often looking for ą It's illogical in its shortfall? Because it is clearly already on the system, I just don't know how to access it, what questions to ask to get help. Can anybody else help solve this? thank
